• Das Ziel der Bachelorthesis ist, die Relevanz der Ressource Sand für die moderne Welt zu verdeutlichen. Hierfür werden die vier folgenden Forschungsfragen beantwortet: Warum ist es wichtig, sich mit der Verknappung der Ressource Sand auseinander zu setzen und sich der Relevanz ihrer bewusst zu werden? Wie sieht die Zukunft aus, wenn die Ressource Sand weiterhin so genutzt wird wie heute? Was kann gegen den übermäßigen Abbau und Export der Ressource Sand unternommen werden? Gibt es Alternativen zu der Ressource Sand und wie sehen diese aus? Die Forschungsfragen wurden mit Hilfe einer ausführlichen Literaturrecherche beantwortet. Diese fand vor und während der Bearbeitung der Thesis statt. Durch die Literaturrecherche wurde verdeutlicht, dass die Auseinandersetzung mit der Thematik sowie das Bewusstsein über die aktuelle Lage der Ressource wichtig sind, da eine unveränderte Nutzung langfristig nicht möglich ist. Die entstehenden Negativeffekte würden sowohl die Flora und Fauna als auch den Menschen betreffen. Außerdem wurde durch die Recherche klar, dass der Abbau der Ressource Sand durch politische Instanzen oder die Nutzung von Alternativen gesenkt werden kann. Alternativen werden beispielsweise durch verschiedene Substitutionsgüter dargestellt. Die Thesis verdeutlicht, dass die Ressource Sand der Menschheit bei einer unveränderten Nutzung durch die Finger rinnt. Die tiefere Erforschung von Alternativstoffen und die Minderung des Abbaus sind nötig, um die Negativeffekte auf den Menschen und die Umwelt zu dämpfen.
• The aim of the bachelor thesis is to clarify the relevance of sand as a resource for the modern world. For this purpose, the following four research questions are answered: Why is it important to deal with the scarcity of sand as a resource and to become aware of its relevance? What does the future look like if the resource sand continues to be used as it is today? What can be done about the excessive exploitation and export of sand? Are there alternatives to sand and what do they look like? The research questions were answered with the help of a detailed literature research which took place before and during the processing of the thesis. The literature research made clear that it is important to deal with the topic sand and to be aware of the current situation of the resource, since an unchanged use is not possible in the long run. The resulting negative effects would affect flora and fauna as well as humans. The research also showed that the mining of sand can be reduced by the implementation of laws or the usage of different alternatives. Alternatives could be, for example, various substitutes. The thesis shows that the resource sand is slipping through the fingers of mankind if it continues to be used as it is now. Deeper research into alternative substances and the reduction of mining are necessary to dampen the negative effects on humans and the environment.
