Companies are seeing an increasing number of digitization projects in the area of human resources processes. In particular, a steady change can be observed in the area of corporate training and further education. Thus, more and more companies are deciding to digitize their training organization and to consider the introduction of a human capital management system with supplementary modules. The aspect of user acceptance plays a significant role in the integration of the system into the company's divisions.
The aim of this thesis is to identify the influencing factors that play a major role with regard to user acceptance. Based on these influencing factors as well as a performed gap analysis, recommendations shall then be made to contribute to the improvement of user acceptance. To achieve this goal, a qualitative expert interview was conducted. For this purpose, seven employees of the company involved in the project of introducing the human capital management system for training and further education were asked 17 questions.
With the help of the answers, a gap analysis was conducted, which was used to determine the current status of the training offer, the number of users and the user acceptance, as well as the desired status of these factors. Recommendations were then developed based on this analysis and the use of internal company surveys and reports. In this process, the introduction of a financial incentive was opposed and the establishment of learning spaces was advocated. In addition, suggestions for improving the learning management system were drawn up and the role of managers as role models was emphasized with regard to the acceptance of direct employees.
