The primary aim of this paper is to measure how happy students are at Furtwangen University by using an online questionnaire. To create the questionnaire, seven dimensions that influence the happiness of students, were identified. Those are: Life Satisfaction, Study, Social Relationships, Leisure Time, Financial Situation, Health and Housing Situation. The development of the questionnaire is based on a preliminary theory section that answers what concepts exist for measuring happiness and how the measurement is done. In addition, interviews with students were conducted, and existing studies from the literature were used to develop the questionnaire. The results showed that students at Furtwangen University tend to be rather happy in total. Students are least satisfied with their health and most satisfied with their social relationships and housing situation. Finally, based on the results, a recommendation for action was formulated, that describes how the results of the empirical study can be used for Furtwangen University to increase the happiness and well-being of its students. Here, aspects such as the improvement of the university's health care system or an increased focus on better advertising of the university's leisure activities and events were recommended.
