Navigating Global Borders: Success Factors, Challenges and Cultural Dynamics of Virtual International Collaboration - A Qualitative Study Based on the Example of an International Real Estate Company

  • This bachelor thesis examines the success factors, challenges, and cultural dynamics of virtual international collaboration using a leading international real estate company as an example. Based on qualitative expert interviews with international office managers from Engel & Völkers, the following research questions are addressed: What are the success factors and challenges that shape virtual international collaboration in a leading international real estate company? What are the benefits of successful international collaboration? How do cultural differences affect international collaboration? What recommendations can be made to ensure successful international collaboration? The qualitative study shows that the success factors and challenges are strongly influenced by cultural dynamics. To avoid challenges and achieve benefits from international collaboration, the success factors must be implemented. These include cultural awareness, effective communication, and regular virtual and face-to-face interactions. The results offer valuable insights and recommendations for ensuring successful international collaboration.
