• This paper aims to create a foundation for further, in-depth research of the topic Indigenous entrepreneurship in Colombia and other countries, as well as to facilitate the analysis of obstacles in Indigenous businesses. To answer the research question, seven experts are interviewed using semi-structured interview guides based on several deductive categories. The findings are then analysed through a thematic content analysis before they are presented and discussed. The results show that there are various inter-connected obstacles impeding more success of Indigenous businesses in Colombia, which are not sufficiently studied and addressed. The most important obstacles are corruption and marginalization, as well as resulting conditions like a lack of infrastructure and education. This study emphasizes the importance of, and encourages the realization of further, profound research regarding this and related topics.
• Diese Arbeit soll eine Grundlage für weitere, vertiefte Forschung zum Thema indigenes Unternehmertum in Kolumbien und anderen Ländern schaffen sowie die Analyse von Hindernissen in indigenen Unternehmen erleichtern. Zur Beantwortung der Forschungsfrage werden sieben Experten anhand eines semistrukturierten Interviewleitfadens befragt, der auf mehreren deduktiven Kategorien basiert. Die Ergebnisse werden dann mittels einer thematischen Inhaltsanalyse analysiert, bevor sie vorgestellt und diskutiert werden. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass es verschiedene miteinander verbundene Hindernisse gibt, die einem größeren Erfolg indigener Unternehmen in Kolumbien im Wege stehen und die nicht ausreichend untersucht und angegangen werden. Die wichtigsten Hindernisse sind Korruption und Marginalisierung sowie daraus resultierende Umstände wie mangelnde Infrastruktur und Bildung. Diese Studie unterstreicht die Wichtigkeit und regt zu weiteren, tiefgreifenden Forschungen zu diesem und verwandten Themen an.
• Este trabajo tiene como objetivo crear una base para profundizar en el tema del emprendimiento indígena en Colombia y otros países, así como facilitar el análisis de los obstáculos en las empresas indígenas. Para responder a la pregunta de investigación, se entrevista a siete expertos utilizando guías de entrevista semiestructuradas basadas en varias categorías deductivas. A continuación, se analizan los resultados mediante un análisis de contenido temático antes de presentarlos y discutirlos. Los resultados muestran que hay varios obstáculos interconectados que impiden un mayor éxito de las empresas indígenas en Colombia, que no están suficientemente estudiados y abordados. Los obstáculos más importantes son la corrupción y la marginación, así como las condiciones resultantes, como la falta de infraestructuras y educación. Este estudio subraya la importancia de realizar más investigaciones profundas sobre este tema y otros relacionados, y anima a ello.
