N2  - Thermal spraying is one of the most important and most efficient methods for coating surfaces. The company "Hugo Kern und Liebers" uses atmospheric plasma spraying for various coating processes such as the metallic coating of functional surfaces to optimize electrical conductivity. In order to gain further experience in the field of thermal spraying and to get a better overview, the processes of thermal spraying were compared in this project. Therefore, in addition to the information on atmospheric plasma spraying, the properties of other processes were collected through research. An Excel table of the process properties provides a good overview and helps with comparisons. The aim of this research work was the differentiation of the processes from each other, to identify advantages and disadvantages and to define areas of application.
